Two Sports associations honoured

Manama: Two sports associations have been honoured for their outstanding achievements at continental and international competitions held recently in Bahrain. They were Table Tennis and Fencing who received special awards following impressive results at the Bahrain Open Table Tennis Championships and the Asian Fencing Championships.

Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) General Secretary Abdulrahman Askar presented the awards at a special ceremony held at the recently-opened DownTown Rotana Hotel in Manama.

The ceremony was an initiative of His Majesty King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to show appreciation to these associations for their achievements.
