His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met with His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor, Malaysia.
The meeting took place during HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad’s visit to attend the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, marking the 22nd edition of the event.
The race is being hosted by Malaysia with the blessings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the depth of the Bahrain-Malaysia relationship and highlighted the continued support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty the King of Malaysia for cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
He noted that these efforts contribute to advancing shared aspirations and supporting development in both countries.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad expressed appreciation to Malaysia for its cooperation in ensuring the success of the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, saying the event reflects the strength of Bahrain-Malaysia relations.
His Royal Highness affirmed the two countries’ commitment to deepening bilateral partnerships and strengthening cooperation.
The meeting also covered the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.
For his part, HRH Tunku Ismail expressed appreciation for HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad’s commitment to developing bilateral relations and cooperation in a way that serves the shared aspirations of both countries and their peoples.
