Community Initiative at Askar Coast Walkway In a collaborative effort, the Southern Municipality joined forces with One Heart Bahrain volunteers and Urbaser Cleaning Company to organize a large-scale cleanup at Askar Coast Walkway. The initiative, part of the “Sawaed” campaign under the slogan “Our Coasts Are Our Responsibility,” brought together over 40 dedicated volunteers.

Impactful Cleanup Effort The team’s hard work paid off with the removal of around one ton of waste, including wood, plastic materials, dead grass, tires, and various other types of consumer waste. This initiative marked a substantial step toward a cleaner, healthier coast.

Commitment to Environmental Responsibility This achievement underscores the community’s dedication to environmental preservation and the power of collective action to maintain public spaces. The Southern Municipality supported the campaign by supplying necessary equipment and cleaning workers, reinforcing its commitment to community-driven efforts that promote environmental stewardship.
