Bahraini floral designer Mishal Mohammed has turned an unexpected passion into a growing creative career, developing a bold and modern style despite studying Banking and Finance at Bangor University. Encouraged by his mother and Al Naseem International School, Mishal began exploring creative projects from a young age. He eventually found floral design suited his interest in creativity, emotion and detail, transforming a personal passion into professional work. His business has grown from bouquets to weddings, hotels, event halls and major occasions. He also conducts flower arrangement workshops and training sessions, sharing his experience with others. Mishal says his approach begins with understanding the client’s personality, preferences, occasion and budget before choosing flowers, colours and arrangements. Rather than copying trends, he uses them as inspiration while adding his own style. For large events, particularly weddings, he looks beyond individual arrangements to create a complete visual experience, considering spaces, entrances, tables, lighting and colours. He believes social media has also changed customers’ tastes by exposing them to floral designs from around the world. His advice to clients is simple: be bold and choose what reflects who you are. For Mishal, flowers are temporary, but the emotions and memories they create can last much longer.
