Murder of man: Sentence upheld

Manama : A man, who conspired with two other men and a Bahraini woman to murder her husband, had his sentence upheld by the Supreme Appeals Court.

He has to serve a 15-year jail term.

The three men allegedly beat the victim to death with iron tools, following a dispute.

The Public Prosecution termed the crime as premeditated murder, based on which the defendants were charged. One of the men (first defendant) and the woman were sentenced to life in jail.

The other two men got 15 years.

Prosecutors said that the first defendant attacked the victim on his head with an iron handle that primarily caused death.
