Five-Year Jail For Bike Robbery

A 43-year-old man has been sentenced to five years in prison for stealing a delivery company’s motorcycle after threatening a worker with a knife in Isa Town. The incident took place on April 14, 2026, when the 21-yearold delivery worker stopped around 4pm after finding that the address provided for an order was incorrect. As he contacted the customer, the defendant approached and asked to take the motorcycle for a ride. After the worker refused, the defendant pulled out a knife and threatened to attack him unless he moved away. Fearing for his safety, the worker stepped aside and the defendant fled on the motorcycle. Police investigations, supported by confidential sources, led to the defendant’s identification. The worker later positively identified him from a photograph, and the identification was consistent with his appearance during questioning by the Public Prosecution. The High Criminal Court sentenced the defendant to five years in prison for the robbery.
