Meteorological Directorate unveils advanced digital portal to streamline pilot briefings

The Meteorological Directorate under the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has launched the Meteorological Pilot Briefing Portal, designed to enhance the safety and security of the aviation industry.

This is an advanced digital portal that utilises regional satellite data to provide comprehensive and accurate weather information to the pilots. The portal offers a user-friendly interface that allows pilots, and other aviation stakeholders to access real-time weather data, including satellite imagery, radar data, and numerical weather forecasts.

This is a significant advantage over traditional papeto dater-based briefings, which can take hours to prepare and may not be up-to-date by the time the pilot takes off.
