HM King issues decree restructuring Interior Ministry

MANAMA

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Decree 65/2020, amending some provisions of Decree 69/2004 on re-structuring the Interior Ministry.

Under the decree, a new clause (N’18) was added to Article (1) of Decree 69/2004 on re-structuring the Interior Ministry, as follows:

The National Cybersecurity Centre includes Chief Executive Officer (with the rank of Undersecretary), who is followed by:-

1. Deputy CEO for Cyber Operations (with the rank of Assistant Undersecretary), who is in charge of:
   • • The Directorate of Cyber Protection.
     • The Directorate of National Response.
2. The Directorate of Coordination and Analysis.
3. The Directorate of Support and Computer Operations.
4. The Directorate of Security Systems Development.
5. The Directorate Follow-up and Education.
6. The Directorate of Cyber Policies.”

The Interior Minister shall implement the provisions of the decree, which takes effect after its publication in the Official Gazette.
