Bahrain will stand firmly ‘with allies’

Manama : Bahrain will stand firmly with its allies in combating terrorism and its financing resources, said Deputy King HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa in a joint statement issued yesterday.

Speaking during a meeting held at Gudaibiya Palace, Their Royal Highnesses welcomed the international community’s understanding to the danger of terrorism and its effect on the security in the region.

Prince Salman and HRH the Prime Minister highlighted Bahrain’s appreciation of the UK Parliament decision designating a number of outlawed Bahraini groups as terrorist organisations.

The meeting reviewed government plans and development programmes and highlighted government’s keenness to promote initiatives supportive to the optimum use of energy, including new and renewable energy in support of environmental protection.
