The Shura Council has affirmed that Bahrain’s development goals and aspirations are being achieved according to the royal vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the solid foundations that form the core of the Kingdom’s civilisational achievements.

This came during a meeting of the Shura Council’s office held yesterday, under the chairmanship of Speaker Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh.

The Council expressed its pride and appreciation for the great importance that HM the King attaches to meeting the esteemed people of Bahrain from all governorates, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, and for emphasising the solidarity and cooperation of the citizens.

It also highlighted that the silver jubilee anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the throne illuminates a fruitful journey of achievements witnessed by the Kingdom over 25 years, adding that it serves as a milestone for renewing allegiance and commitment, and reaffirming the efforts to build upon the accomplished progress in all fields.

The Council commended the role and diligent efforts exerted by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in deepening the paths of achievements, motivating the members of Team Bahrain to give their best.

Proposals

Meanwhile, the Council discussed the proposals presented by the representatives in the executive committee of the parliamentary branch regarding amending the basic regulations of the branch.

Moreover, the office was briefed on the opinion of the Legal Advisors Council regarding the mechanism of discussing proposals with laws and strengthening cooperation with the government to provide information and data on proposals with laws to the relevant committees for study.

Furthermore, the council’s office discussed the topics and draft laws that are still under review and study by the council’s committees, as well as the completed topics for which committees have prepared reports.
