Bahrain and Egypt emphasised the necessity of full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, the urgent and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid, and the immediate commencement of reconstruction efforts to restore normal life for Gaza’s residents.

This came as His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday held a telephone call with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

They discussed recent regional developments, particularly the situation in Gaza.

Both leaders underscored their firm rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land and stressed that the Palestinian cause remains a top priority on the Arab and international agendas.

They also agreed on the importance of fully implementing the US President Donald Trump’s peace plan in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2803, as a framework for achieving a just and comprehensive peace.

HM the King and President El Sisi agreed to continue communications and coordination on issues of mutual interest, particularly in light of the challenging circumstances in the region, to strengthen Arab unity, and serve the interests of their peoples.
