The Lower Criminal Court has sentenced two drug addicts to one year behind bars along with BD500 fine. The duo was arrested by a police patrol after officers found them inside a car in an abnormal state.

“When we knocked the car’s window, it was clear that they were on drugs. We found them in possession of a medical injection as well as 16 narcotic pills,” a police officer told prosecutors.

“The first defendant told us that he was consuming drugs since 2013,” he added.
