Organisers of international trade exhibitions will be required to pay up starting at BD100 in fees under new rules mandating prior approval from the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA).

The charges vary based on the number of exhibitors, with fees starting at BD100 for events featuring up to 20 participants.

Exhibitions hosting between 21 and 100 exhibitors will be charged BD250, while those with 101 to 200 will need to pay BD500. Events exceeding 201 exhibitors will face the highest fee of BD1,000.

The decision, issued by Minister of Tourism Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, also limits exhibitions to 10 days and prohibits promotion or sponsorship without a licence.

Applications for local or international trade events must be lodged at least two months before the scheduled date. Requests Authorities are required to review and process requests within 15 days of receiving all H.E. Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi necessary paperwork.
