Three Pakistanis jailed for robbing iPad

Three Pakistani men were sentenced to five years in jail each for stealing an iPad. They were tried before the High Criminal Court, which has also ordered their deportation once they complete their jail terms. The trio reportedly attacked the owner of the gadget, who was with a girl, brutally to steal the iPad on January 5 this year.

They were arrested after detectives learned that the iPad was sold to a local shop by one of them. “We were in a restaurant drinking beer, and we later involved in a fight (with the alleged victim),” the defendant who sold the device told prosecutors.

It was said that the one of the trio drew out a knife when the alleged victim tried to resist. Later they fled with it. The defendants had earlier pleaded not guilty.
