The Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) took part in the International Business and Human Rights Forum, hosted recently in Bahrain as part of its contributions to events and programmes that support the objectives of society. Company President Dr. Abdulrahman said the forum discussed issues on human rights and business management, which were linked to the United Nations 17 sustainable development goals, to be achieved by 2030. He said the company is making efforts to implement these goals. The GPIC delegation included the Legal Advisor Noora Al Sharyan, Recruitment and Selection Supervisor Mariam Al-Moussawi, Internal Auditor Noor Al-Sayed, Marketing Superintendent for Ammonia and Urea Munther Bucheeri and Senior Training Supervisor Mohammed Faqihi. The forum was held in the presence of and under the patronage of its Secretary General, Dr. Khalifa Al-Fadhel, on the theme, “Business Administration and Human Rights.” The forum was co-chaired by international human rights expert Prof. Chris Sidoti, Secretary General of the National Human Rights Institution, Dr. Khalifa Al Fadhel and Assistant Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Bahrain Dr. Riyad Sayadi.
