The achievements of Bahrain’s sports teams at the ongoing Fifth GCC Women’s Games, being held in Doha, were commended by high-ranking Bahraini sports officials as more teams arriving back home. Winning 14 medals in total, including 6 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze, Bahrain’s athletics were second overall in the athletics championships behind the UAE.
