Under the patronage of His Excellency Bishop Aldo Berardi, the Avona Women’s Program hosted a powerful symposium themed "You are beautifully made: Care for the Gift" at Sacred Heart Church Parish in Manama.

The event aimed to raise awareness on breast health and the importance of early breast cancer detection, gathering a diverse group of women for an enriching and educational experience.

The event embraced a holistic approach to women’s health, blending medical guidance, self-care techniques, and spiritual reflection.

Dr. Joyce de Leon Lopez, MD, FPCP, led the first part of the event, emphasising the critical role of early detection in breast cancer survival.
