Private school warned for host of violations

Manama : Within its campaign to ensure readiness of schools to receive students in the beginning of a new school year, educational authorities have sent another warning to a private school regarding safety and security violations.

One day after it warned a private school in the Southern Governorate, Education Ministry notified a private school in the Capital to rectify its safety and security related violations yesterday.

According to a statement issued by the ministry, several violations were detected at the Modern Knowledge School in Ghuraifa. The ministry said the violations included “forcing junior students to stand under the scorching sun for long periods, unjustified hike in books prices, the continued closure of the school cafeteria and not notifying parents about the school’s sports uniforms.”

Similarly to the statement it issued a day earlier, the ministry stressed that violations related safety and security of students will not be tolerated, in accordance with Law Decree 25 of 1998 in regards to private educational and vocational establishments.

It’s noteworthy that the ministry warned the Riffa branch of Talent International and the Infant School on Saturday that its educational permit would be revoked in case the violations detected at he school are not rectified.
