Inmates who had gained their freedom for a second chance in life through Royal Pardon on the occasion of Bahrain celebrating National Days yesterday expressed their gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HM King had pardoned 361 people serving jail terms in various cases, presenting them with an opportunity to integrate into society anew and participate in the Kingdom’s development march.

The inmates were released as per the provision of the Alternative Penal Code. Families said the royal pardon confirms the paternal gesture of HM King and “it has warmed our hearts.”

Our children have been returned to our arms again. “They now can return to their normal lives by turning a new page for a stable and prosperous future.”
