Bahrain yesterday announced launching a new look e-Visa website, which is the only official website to apply for an eVisa to the Kingdom.

The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs Authority, which is the organisation responsible for managing the borders of the Kingdom, launched the website.

Those wishing to enter Bahrain can apply for an electronic visa through the website, NPRA said in a statement.

Visa on arrival or issuance of instant visa is stopped, until further notice.

Services on offer include applying for an eVisa, check eligibility and application status, register a new guaran- tor and make payment among others.

The website also details the countries for which online visa and visa on arrival is available, along with the process for obtaining visas.

The website, however, warns, “Holding a visa does not guar- antee you entry to the Kingdom of Bahrain. You must meet all of the conditions upon arrival to be granted entry. If entry is not granted, no part of the fee will be refunded.”

It also states, “Payment of the application fee does not guar- antee the approval of a visa. In the event of an application not being approved, the processing fee will not be refunded. ”The authority also warns travellers who apply for an eVi- sa to be “cautious in all dealings with other websites/companies that claim to offer any form of assistance or otherwise in get- ting an eVisa for the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

NPRA clarifies that not any “website/company operates on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
