You may have noticed the Queen’s Christmas Day speech, but one ‘leader’s’ festive message that may have passed you by is that of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

He said on Boxing Day that Daesh (aka Isis) is doing well despite the efforts of the international coalition trying to quell it.

He went on a bit, but in summary he’s taunted the US for failing to use ground troops and asked people to join his band of merry terrorists in Syria and/or Iraq.

Thankfully, most sound-minded people have seen through it with many Muslims mocking the Boxing Day message after they were translated by Iyad El-Baghdadi (definitely not a terrorist)

You’ve got to have nice teeth… you know… ready for the virgins

Maybe Daesh is just an extreme reaction to bad Christmas presents. This guy might be onto something…

Patronising much?

We’ve all got to get our fix

Turn the tables, folks

And chill?

Some people are just too busy

Star Wars getting in the way. Again

And here are some non-Muslim responses

The ultimate burn

Corrie’s on, so this guy can’t join in

John Cooke’s clearly too much of a consumer to enjoy jihad

Oh, the punnery

Silly name, sensible response

No need to be a w*nker about it

Who knew travel to Syria could be so difficult?

Don’t mention the Daesh Dildo flag

This guy’s hoping for a quick jihad
