In a dramatic rescue operation, the General Directorate of Civil Defense successfully saved an Asian man who was trapped by the Manama market fire for over five hours. The man had taken refuge in a water tank on the roof of the building, where he remained hidden from firefighters for an extended period.

According to reports, the man was initially seen waving to firefighters from the roof. However, as the fire intensified, he sought shelter in the water tank as a last resort. Rescue teams, using drones to track his movements, eventually located him and managed to enter the building to pull him to safety.
