The Anti-Cyber Crimes Directorate has arrested a 27-year-old man for misusing social media by posting content that violated public morals and ethical standards.

According to the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, the individual’s post was flagged during routine online monitoring. Authorities launched an investigation immediately, leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect. The case has now been referred to the Public Prosecution for legal action.

The directorate reminded the public to respect national values and follow legal guidelines when using social media. It emphasized that sharing harmful or illegal content could result in serious consequences, adding that legal measures will be taken against anyone who misuses online platforms.

The authority also urged all users to be responsible and mindful of the content they share, to help maintain public order and protect Bahrain’s social values.
