The Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, in cooperation and coordination with the judicial seizure officers of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, shut down a tourist facility that was caught providing shisha to its visitors.

This is in violation of the efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, which is based on the decisions of the Coordination Committee chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, and in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Interior.

The police directorate’s director-general explained that, after receiving a tip about the incident, the Ministry was notified, and at the same time, it conducted an investigation that confirmed the information. He indicated that the legal procedures established in this regard are being completed.
