HM King issues law on Bahrain and Hong Kong taxation deal

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ratified and issued Law (7) of 2025 on the ratification of the agreement between the governments of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China concerning the elimination of double taxation on income taxes and the prevention of tax evasion and avoidance.

The law was passed by the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.

The agreement, signed in Manama on March 3, 2024, and attached to this law, is hereby ratified.

The Prime Minister and ministers, each within their capacities, shall implement the provisions of this law, which shall come into effect on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
