Focus on fulfilling youth’s hopes

MP Basema Mubarak has marked the Gulf Cooperation Council’s anniversary by backing deeper ties between its member states, with a focus on meeting the hopes of younger generations.

The MP said the council had stood for over 40 years as a firm pillar of unity among the Gulf’s peoples, binding them together through shared interests and long-standing ties.

She described the GCC as a shield for regional steadiness and a vehicle for cooperation that Bahrain values deeply.

According to her, the effects of this partnership are now plain to see in efforts to end disputes, push for peace, and support growth that lasts. The lawmaker closed by asking for continued success for the Gulf’s peoples and leaders, and for further closeness between its states.
