Bahrain seek morale-boosting win after two heavy defeats in Women's Asian Cup Qualifies

Bahrain’s U20 women’s national team conclude their AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup qualifying run today, taking on the Northern Mariana Islands at 3:30pm at Do’stlik Stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

No Path to Progress

Elimination was confirmed after successive defeats in Group A — 8–0 to hosts Uzbekistan in the opener, followed by a 6–0 loss to Jordan on Friday. Today’s fixture offers a final chance to produce a positive result and avoid finishing bottom of the standings.

Group Standings Set

Uzbekistan lead the group with six points, ahead of Jordan on goal difference. Both Bahrain and the Northern Mariana Islands remain without a point, making this match a direct fight for third place.
