Wrap of beauty
Scarves make great accessories, be it summer or winter. With endless ways to wear a scarf, it’s easier to pull off a statement printed chiffon scarf than feel the burden of a chunky neckpiece. Wear it as a headband, a neck wrap, a handbag accessory or a belt, one scarf in your wardrobe will surely come handy in many ways.
To reap the benefits of that beautiful scarf you’ve only been wearing around your neck, these few tricks will help you make the most out of it:
• The headband: Pull back your hair in a fun twist by folding a square scarf in a triangle first and then folding to rectangle to about tie inches wide. Tie it with a knot at the nape of the neck and let the ends out at the side of your neck. You can even use hair elastic to secure your ponytail and create an oversized bow with a skinny scarf.
• The belt: Twist a silk scarf and pass it through the loops on your jeans and knot it at the side to secure.
• The handbag accessory: Simply knot the scarf at the handle of your handbag as a chic accessory. Opt for bright printed scarves and floral ones to create a contrast against black bags.
