Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaffar Al-Sairafi, the Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), emphasised the significance of documenting Bahrain’s achievements in the tourism and exhibitions sector. She noted that this step is crucial for supporting the sector’s growth, given its vital role in driving tourism and economic development.

Her remarks came during a meeting with researcher and media personality Abdul Karim Ismail, CEO of the IBRAS Agency, who presented her with a copy of his new book, Bahrain Exhibitions: A Historical Perspective. The book explores the role of Bahrain’s exhibitions and conferences industry in positioning the Kingdom as a leading hub for regional events.

Al-Sairafi also highlighted the exhibitions sector’s cultural and economic impact in strengthening Bahrain’s position as a key player in regional tourism.
