Under the patronage of Captain Mahmood Al Mahmood, The Daily Tribune Editor-in-Chief and Chairman of Arab African Unity Organisation for Human Rights and Anti-Terrorism, Aisha Centre for Early Intervention organised a special festival for children suffering from intellectual disabilities. Speaking on the occasion, Captain Al Mahmood stressed the rights of people suffering from disabilities and the need to provide them with equal opportunities.
He hailed HM the King’s vision to promote the rights of persons with disabilities along with other measures adopted in this regard. “Bahrain is among the countries, which ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2011, and made financial allocations for individuals suffering from disabilities,” he pointed out. Centre head Aisha Al Hamer and other dignitaries attended. Kuwaiti actor Nawaf Al Shammari was a special attraction at the event.
