Charity market event to aid children with cancer

The Smile initiative will hold its ninth charity market event on Friday to support children afflicted with cancer at the Shehrazade Hall in Budaiya from 7 pm to 9 pm.

Smile initiative’s Board of Directors Abeer Al Sayegh said the funds collected from the charity market would be utilised to support such children and their parents through psychological and social programmes.

She said volunteers would distribute booklets to visitors at the event and answer their queries on cancer. Shehrazade Hall owner and the head of the bazaar organising team, Huma Bushehri said that all types of donations, including clothing, books and games for the hall, were welcome.

Busier also congratulated all those who donated clothing, perfumes, books, household electronics and utensils for the welfare of the kids.
