The High Criminal Court has started the hearing of a case in which, eight persons are accused of forming a terrorist group. The natives are implicated of founding and running a terrorist group named "Bahraini Hezbollah," inspired by Lebanese terrorist organisation Hezbollah.

They were exposed last year after carrying out several attacks throughout Bahrain. The accused also allegedly possessed arms, which they used against police officers. The Public Prosecution said the accused recorded their attacks on camera and uploaded them online. They reportedly commenced their terror activities on June 23 last year. The trial was adjourned to September 17 for review.
