Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, received a phone call today from Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Ali Al Yahya, who currently chairs the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Council.

During the conversation, the two ministers reaffirmed the deep-rooted brotherly ties between Bahrain and Kuwait, discussing ways to further strengthen cooperation and coordination across various sectors that serve the shared interests of both nations.

The call also touched on recent developments in the region, particularly the rising military tensions between Israel and Iran. Both ministers stressed the importance of a unified GCC stance and highlighted the need for intensified diplomatic efforts to ease tensions and prevent further escalation.

They also underscored the significance of continuing the U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations, viewing them as essential for maintaining regional peace and stability.
