Bahrain TRA announces revocation of US Army’s VSAT Licence

Further to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA)’s notice published on September 24 in the official gazette and on the TRA website, asking for comments on the proposed voluntary revocation of its Individual Very Small Aperture Terminal Licence (VSAT Licence) awarded to the US Army Space and Missile Defence Battle Lab (US Army), TRA now clarifies that it has not received any comments and/or responses to its notice.

Accordingly, pursuant to Article 31 of the Telecommunications Law, the VSAT Licence awarded to US Army is revoked with effect from November 5, 2015.
