Bahrain attaches utmost importance to broadening joint Arab cooperation at all levels, especially in the media field. Information Minister, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi highlight the media’s major role in strengthening the pillars of the Arab national security and consolidating the Arab identity, as well as enhancing coordination and cooperation in confronting various challenges to the region.

This is in line with the kingdom’s strong belief that strengthening joint Arab action is the best means to optimise Arab achievements, he said. Dr. Al Noaimi was speaking as he took part in the 17th regular session of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, held in Rabat, Morocco yesterday.

Members of the Executive Bureau, including the information ministers of Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Algeria, the Comoros, Kuwait, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and Morocco, participated in the meeting.

Bahrain participated in the meeting because it will host the 2024 Arab Summit. The Information Minister stressed the importance of the topics discussed during the 17th session of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, within the framework of its follow-up on the agenda and issues that will be tackled by the 53rd session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, set to be held in Rabat tomorrow, in a way that contributes to advancing joint Arab media cooperation and enhancing its role in supporting various Arab issues.

The Information Minister said that through its membership in the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Information Minister, Bahrain aims to contribute constructively to pushing efforts to develop joint Arab media action forward.
