Manama : Southern Governorate police officers have managed to save the life of a 14-year-old boy who tried to commit suicide, it was announced.

The boy reportedly stood on the edge of his home's rooftop, and after a negotiation that lasted about two hours, he was convinced by police officers to take a U-turn in his decision, according to a statement. The boy was then transferred to a local hospital because he was slightly injured by a knife wound to his neck. Legal proceedings have been initaited.
