Three Bahraini public schools won the School Excellence Award from the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States.

The award honours the schools for following modern educational standards, advanced approaches and well-thoughtout and organized practices.

The winners are Jidhafs Secondary Girls School (Gold award), Khawla Secondary Girls School (Silver award), and Umm Ayman Primary School for Girls (Bronze award).

The schools received the awards during a ceremony recently held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Jidhafs High School Principal, Suha Hamadeh, said: “We have pioneering projects in all fields and achieved uniqueness in creativity and innovation by activating partnership between the administrative and educational authority, students, parents and relevant community institutions. We presented a creative exhibition highlighting the projects, committees and student skills. The jury praised it.”

For her part, Khawla High School Principal, Manal Sinan, explained that the directives and support of the Ministry of Education played a pivotal role in achieving this honourable result.

“These activities contributed to creating a one family atmosphere of appreciation and mutual motivation, which promotes a culture of achievement and celebration of innovation and creativity.”

Umm Ayman Primary School Principal Latifa Al Nuaimi said the school adopted a participatory vision that focuses on creativity, leadership, and competition besides inspiring and motivating students to innovate in performance and building leadership.

“This has resulted in consolidating relationships and activating community partnership, which is reflected positively on school work and contributed to achieving this victory.”

The evaluation process includes several axes, including sustainability, programme management and implementation, operations and resources management, services management, innovation management, risk management, future foresight, and governance.
