The Southern Municipality has launched the sixth edition of its annual public cleanliness awareness campaign, “Ramadan of Giving,” via social media.
The initiative, held during the holy month of Ramadan, focuses on promoting proper waste disposal practices, particularly as waste generation increases during this period.
The campaign aligns with the municipality’s objectives to instill environmentally friendly habits and encourage proper waste disposal in homes, schools, and public spaces, in accordance with Public Hygiene Law No. (10) of 2019.
Each year during Ramadan, the municipality promotes awareness and community engagement to uphold Bahrain’s urban and environmental aesthetics.
The campaign also encourages citizens and residents to support waste sorting and recycling initiatives.
