Attacking two women in a row over parking space have proved costly for a woman after the Lower Criminal Court sentenced her to two months behind bars. The 27-year-old accused reportedly engaged in a physical brawl with the victims, who are also Bahraini nationals, in Souq Waqef following a row over car parking space.

According to court files, the latter removed the hijabs of the victims, aged 19 and 23 and dragged one of them by her hair inside a stationary close to the parking lot. “She held me with force, and she began attacking all my body indiscriminately and she pushed me against the stands in the stationary,” the 19-year- old victim told prosecutors.

“She then dragged me with my hair while she was verbally abusing both of us. She stopped when customers inside the stationary intervened,” she added. The Lower Criminal Court given a fine of BD200 to the accused, pending the outcome of her appeal.
