Country presents third national review, pledges deeper commitment to global agenda

The United Arab Emirates has reported progress on 63 percent of its national Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicators, presenting its third Voluntary National Review at the United Nations.

The UAE affirmed that sustainable development is now embedded across government planning, decision-making, and policy evaluation.

The country renewed its commitment to the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and launched the "SDGs 2045" initiative to shape the global development agenda beyond 2030.

The UAE also announced it will co-host the UN Water Conference 2026 in Abu Dhabi this December, in partnership with Senegal.
