Abu Dhabi Reaffirms Support for Two-State Solution, Condemns Settlement Expansion

The United Arab Emirates called for further progress in implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2803, including strengthening the Gaza ceasefire, reopening all crossings, and ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid.

Speaking during an open debate at the UN Security Council on the Palestinian question, UAE Chargé d'Affaires ad interim and Deputy Permanent Representative Ambassador Ghada Shahin stressed the importance of supporting Gaza’s early recovery efforts and addressing the humanitarian situation.

Ambassador Shahin reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting a comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza while advancing efforts toward achieving a two-state solution that ensures peace and stability in the region.

The UAE also reiterated its condemnation of Israeli settlement activities in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and voiced concern over escalating violence by settlers against Palestinians.
