The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) recently played host to a visit by a delegation from the Muharraq Governorate, led by Salman bin Isa bin Hindi, Muharraq Governor. Bin Hindi was joined by Deputy Governor, Brig. Zouhair Bin Rashed AlAbsi and other colleagues, who were treated to an extensive tour of the campus facilities and took the opportunity to meet with senior university officials, including President, Professor Sameer Otoom. On his part, bin Hindi expressed his pride in and gratitude for the presence of such a facility within the Muharraq area and commended the university in particular for its work in developing local communities. Among the gifts exchanged as part of the visit was a giant wooden model of a Bahraini dhow presented to the university.
