Families and friends from across the Kingdom flocked to the Oasis Mall in Juffair over the weekend to enjoy the first day of the threeday “Thai Street Market” event hosted by the Thai Embassy.

The market, which is open until Saturday, brings the best of Thailand’s 5Fs - Food, Fashion, Fighting, Film Festival, and Fun.

Visitors were seen relishing authentic Thai cuisine and boba tea, as well as browsing stalls filled with makeup, accessories, scents, clothes, and skincare products.

A cultural performance is scheduled at 2 pm, 6 pm, and 7:30 pm daily, along with Muay Thai demonstrations. Other attractions include neck massages, fruit carving, arts and crafts activities, basic medical check-ups, and a photo booth. The Daily Tribune spoke to several stall owners who expressed their excitement about representing Thai goods and sharing their culture with the people of Bahrain.

“I am having a stall of all skincare and hair products, such as face masks, hair oil, hair colouring, shampoos, and even perfumes,” said Amnie. “I am excited to sell all my products and let people in Bahrain know more about our culture, what we eat, and how we live.”

Nutaya, who is selling bath and body products, added, “People from our community as well as other citizens can enjoy the market and spend their holiday by shopping.

Our products range from homemade soaps to honey-based liquid soap, golden face masks, and bath bombs, all priced between 2 BD and 10 BD.” Kaittha, whose stall features an array of food items, said, “Everyone loves to eat different kinds of foods, and it’s all here - from bakery items to sweet-flavoured juices starting at 2 BD.

Hopefully, these three days can be good business for us as well as an enjoyable experience for the visitors.”
