A teenage rioter had his initial three year in jail sentence upheld. The accused, below 18 year old, reportedly took part in the sabotage acts that erupted in Al Qurayyah on August 15, 2013.
He, along other unidentified rioters scattered 10 tyres on a vital street and torched them before hurling firebombs at security forces.
He was arrested on account of police investigations into the incident. He was earlier charged with participating in an illegal gathering, possessing flammables.
Elsewhere in courts, another appellant involved in a riot also had his prison term upheld.
The accused was earlier sentenced to three years in prison in connection with a riot that broke out in Nuwaidrat on June 7, last year.
The event saw members of the security forces being hurled with firebombs. An officer was beaten up by rioters during the same event.
Prosecutors earlier said the accused was also among the attackers, but the High Criminal Court dropped this accusation after the victim confirmed the accused wasn't among the mob that attacked him.
He was, however, found guilty of rioting and possessing firebombs.
