The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications held an awareness workshop for taxi drivers, in cooperation with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority and the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
The initiative aimed to enhance the quality of taxi services and improve the overall tourist experience in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
As part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to upgrade the taxi sector, the workshop focused on professionally training drivers and introducing them to key cultural and tourist landmarks across Bahrain. The goal is to equip drivers with the knowledge and tools to better represent Bahrain’s rich heritage and modern hospitality.
Officials emphasized that empowering taxi drivers with information and communication skills is a vital step toward reflecting the Kingdom’s welcoming and civilised image to visitors.
