His Excellency, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, participated yesterday in the opening of the "Social Justice and Democracy in the World of Work" conference. The event, organised by the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions, is being held from November 19- 21. It features participation from relevant authorities, trade union representatives, and labour experts from within and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The conference aims to contribute to the enhancement of social justice principles for workers and to share successful experiences in securing workers' rights. Over three days, the conference will cover efforts by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to develop systems that enhance social protection for the workforce, including domestic workers.
