Reckless Driver Detained for Endangering Lives on King Faisal Highway

The Public Prosecution has ordered the pretrial detention of a driving in the opposite direction of traffic on a major roadway, pending further investigation.

The incident came to light after a video showing a vehicle driving against traffic on King Faisal Highway went viral on social media. The General Directorate of Traffic identified the vehicle, located the driver, and referred the case to the Public Prosecution.

Upon receiving the report, the Traffic Prosecution immediately launched an investigation. The accused was summoned and questioned, during which she admitted to the charge. As a result, she was placed in custody and referred for urgent criminal prosecution.

The Head of the Traffic Prosecution emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic laws and regulations. He urged both citizens and residents to avoid any behavior that could endanger lives or property, noting that road safety is a shared responsibility and that compliance with the law is essential for protecting the well-being of society.
