Rain and thunder in Bahrain

Manama : Bahrain experienced cloudy weather on Wednesday with scattered rain and thunderstorm in the afternoon. The Meteorological Directorate in its weather forecast predicted cloudy and humid weather conditions on Thursday as well. Meanwhile Bahrain’s Civil Defence called upon the public to be cautious and follow preventative measures because of the rain.

They advised the public not to use wet electrical appliances until they are in good condition and dry. With heavy rain that could reach inside the house, move necessary tools to the second floor and disconnect electricity, they said.

The public can call emergency hotline 999 to report any danger. General Directorate of Traffic called upon road users to be cautious of the rain and follow safety conditions. While driving stay away from low and rain gathering areas. Don’t drive on locations that the depth of the water is unknown and avoid driving in the evening or dark areas, the Interior Ministry tweeted.
