Muharraq Police and Coast Guard Launch Beach Safety Awareness Campaign

The Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, in collaboration with the Coast Guard, has launched a safety awareness campaign along the beaches of Muharraq aimed at promoting community engagement and enhancing public knowledge of coastal safety measures.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen partnerships with civil society organizations and residents, while ensuring the protection and well-being of all beach visitors.

The campaign focused on educating the public about essential safety practices, including the importance of supervising children closely while swimming, wearing life jackets, and avoiding swimming during hazardous weather conditions such as strong currents or high winds. Participants were also informed about the correct steps to take during marine emergencies.

Beachgoers received informational leaflets in multiple languages, accompanied by commemorative gifts, to reinforce the message of safety and community responsibility.
