Muharraq continues monitoring of labour accomodations

Muharraq governorate will continue to monitor migrant workers housing facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, said Muharraq Governor, Salman bin Isa Bin Hindi Al Mannai.

A permanent committee established for the purpose at the governorate will continue to perform this task, Al Mannai said. The move, he said, is in the best interest of the families of the workers and to ensure them adequate housing, amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The committee, following the directives of Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior, took note of the situation and distributed food and urgent materials in cooperation with the Royal Foundation for Humanitarian Action within the (Feena Khair) initiative at various labour accommodations.
